Ok so Yesterday I went over 's house to sleep over and over there I saw the new Tim Burton Film, Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, a film adaptation of the musical for the first time.

I have to say, I was not impressed a bit.

Whilst the Cinematography, wardrobe, makeup, backdrop/sets/grey overlay, camera work were Superb, typical of Burton, I didn't like the songs, or the way the story was carried out.
It seemed very,very rushed and jumbled.

Also- The British accents, while going for authenticity, got in the way of the singing.
The songs themselves were forgettable.
After seeing It I couldn't find myself remembering how any of them went.

I just wouldn't want to see it again.
I heard everyone raving about it, but I couldn't see where it was all coming from, really.

Now I've never seen the original Broadway performance, so I have nothing to compare it to really.

Don't get me wrong, the parts were acted quite well, the actors outdid themselves. All I'm saying is that I didn't enjoy the singing, nor the progression of the story.

If you like it, good for you. I'm not stopping you from lovin' it.
